Making Pants Pretty With Embroidery, Lace, And Patches

Every woman strives for originality, especially when it comes to appearance. But to create an original style it is often optional to buy unique clothes. You can wear something comfortable and beautiful for a party if your aesthetic convictions require you to wear classic clothes. But often a well-fitting model looks simple and unpretentious. Is it possible to make ordinary pants unique?

The easiest way to decorate pants, especially classic black or white ones, is to buy a bright belt. This immediately makes the garment look smart. White or black patent belt – and women’s pants become a stylish office option. A belt with a large decorative buckle – and pants with it can be worn to a party.

Patchwork Jewelry

This simple way you can decorate your pants or trendy jeans. It would be best if you had jewelry – rhinestones, rivets, patches, appliques, beads, glass beads and our skilful hands.

A bright decoration that can transform pants. Rhinestones work best for this sparkling decoration. For this purpose, you need rhinestones with a flat bottom. It is desirable to buy them with a reserve – if there is a desire to change the pattern.

It would help if you wet the pants, then dry them and put them on the ironing board. Then lay out the desired pattern – a flower, a heart or curls. After it has been formed, iron it with a steam iron. This will allow the rhinestones to quickly and reliably attach to the pants. After that you can wash and iron the pants without any problems. Over time, of course, some of the rhinestones will fall off. That’s when you’ll need new ones.

Women’s pants can also be decorated with rivets. They are fixed in the fabric by folded petals. Place rivets along the seams, sometimes along the contours of pockets or waistband. With them, for example, you can draw or write. For this purpose, pants are spread out on the table. A sketch of the future drawing is drawn on them. Punctures are made in the fabric along its contours. After that, the riveted petals are bent and fixed in the fabric.

They are suitable for masking damage as well as for decorating pants. Patches of the same fabric are usually made. Classic pants are difficult to decorate with patches – they will look provocative. For denim pants they would be perfect. Patches are made from velvet, corduroy, leather. Scraps of these materials can be previously swept or left with a fringe, and then glue (with special glue or thermal tape) or sew directly to the pants in the area of the pockets or on the trouser legs.

These are prettier patches. They can be made by hand or purchased at the hardware store. The appliques can be combined with glass beads, rhinestones or embroidery. Otherwise, the appliqué technique is similar to working with patches.

Embroidery And Sewing

You can create original embroidery or sewing-based pant jewelry with your hands if working with threads is not just a hobby but a creative activity that you enjoy.

This is the most time-consuming way to decorate pants. Additionally, the embroidery on the classic pants is a work of art. The point is not to ruin the garment but to create something memorable.

With jeans the situation is easier, because they are a less strict article of clothing. To embroider your own hands, you will need floss, a frame and needles. Machine embroidery is also possible, but it can be done on the pockets, pre-shouldered.

The pattern for the embroidery is chosen according to your taste. After washing pants, the fabric may shed, so it is best to wash and dry them before starting work. The image is applied to the fabric with a special erasable felt-tip pen. It is better to make simple stitches, and in the case of cross-stitching – a superimposed canvas- the threads can then be pulled out. It would be best if you did not place the pattern in the natural curves of the pants, otherwise it will quickly lose shape and colour.

For those craftswomen who use a sewing machine, it will be easy to decorate pants with decorative braid, fringe or lace. You can decorate suede, leather, denim, and corduroy clothes in white, blue, and black. Stitching is made into the outer seams of trousers, along the edge of pockets or waistband. It is convenient to use it to mask the widening of trouser inserts. Lace can also be worn as a bottom accent on short pants – it helps visually lengthen them.

Drawings And “Irregularities”

Decorating pants with your own hands, you can experiment with colour.

Of course, white classic pants can only be spoiled by a drawing. However, acrylic paints can be used to paint jeans quite realistically. Special stencils are used to apply them to pockets or pants. Before drawing, you must practice on a “rough” scrap of fabric or on old pants.

The “white spots” or “white stripes” effect will only look right on jeans, not classics. It can be achieved by washing. To do this, we add bleach to the water, and the jeans are tied in the area of the pockets and the bottom of the pants with twine. The result will be original in any case.

With a few decorations in your hands, you can completely change the appearance of ordinary pants.
